Both of these LPG gas fires come with the added bonus of easy installation and without the requirement for a gas supply, instead using Liquefied Petroleum Gas.
Alternatively, please take a look at our Flueless Gas Fires section that caters for homes that do have an existing natural gas supply.
Features and Benefits
The key difference between LPG gas fires and normal flueless gas fires is that they use Liquefied Petroleum Gas rather than natural gas, yet still maintain 100% efficiency. Our LPG flueless gas fires don’t require a chimney or flue unlike traditional fires, meaning these fires deliver 100% of the heat instantly without it escaping. As such, our customers can benefit from reduced heating bills.
Safety is a priority at Superior Fires. All of the fires in our range comprise of catalytic technology to convert carbon monoxide into standard levels of gas that can be found in air outside, so your family can enjoy your fire’s warmth safely.
Installation & Advice
The LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) needed for this appliance is supplied through bottles or an exterior storage tank that are filled up from time to time by your local supplier. All of the LPG gas fires for sale on this page use radiant heat to create warmth by passing the gas through radiant materials, such as ceramic coals, pebbles or logs, that absorb the heat produced and emitting it into the room from the top of the device. This means that TVs are unable to be installed above these model types.
These fires require a room to measure at least 30m³ (typically 3.54m x 3.54m with a 2.4m high ceiling) and also need a 100cm² air vent to be installed in the room. The appliance can be installed anywhere in the house excluding bathrooms and bedrooms.
Every model has a catalytic converter preinstalled which turns carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide and water vapour at levels present outdoors. For extra peace of mind, sensors are fitted that detect if oxygen falls below a specific level and cuts the gas supply off.
The engineer that installed your fire must be Gas Safe registered. Our Approved Engineers can help with all of your heating queries including home surveys, advice and coordinating your installation. They will also be happy to service your LPG flueless gas fire ensuring it is still valid under our three year warranty.
