This fire has cleverly arranged LED's which are controlled by microprocessor to enable us to achieve a much more realistic flame effect which is substantially more reliable and economical to run.
Digital Thermostat
This fire has a thermostat which automatically switches the fan heater on and off when the fire reaches the set temperature, which reduces the overall running cost and helps use less energy. An LED display is included within the flame window to clearly indicate the temperature setting. The LED display is only shown during the setting of the fire by the remote control.
Please note: If the room temperature is higher than the set temperature then the fires fan heater will turn off until the room temperature is lower than the set temperature.

If you don't have a gas supply to your home but want to benefit from a focal point in your living room then the Columbus is a clever LED electric fire that comes complete with a removable stand to give you the option to freestand on a sideboard or piece of furniture (front facing heat), or when removed it can simply be wall mounted (bottom direct heat). The Columbus also features 3 different coloured backlights in blue, orange and purple, with & without heat, creating warmth and ambience to make it a stylish talking point in your home.
The Columbus features: 1.5kW variable heat output, flame effect only - no heat, 4 flame picture settings, thermostatic control, timer, LED flame picture technology, full remote control or buttons on the right hand side of the fire and has a helpful LED display located in the top right hand corner of the window which displays the heat setting, flame cycle and sleep timer. Please note: the LED display is only shown when changing a function. An additional benefit is that you can also position a TV above the fire as the fan heater is located at the base of the fire for front facing heat (stand fitted) or downwards heat (stand removed).
